Considering that Jessica Jones nearly got a TV show from ABC and is getting one from Netflicks, I think marvel saw more opportunity in using Jessica as is.

Because she was a nice opposite for Luke. Luke was this hard core, all serious all the time guy, and Harmony provided the levity for me. She was flighty, and as you say, vacuous, but sometimes we need people like that in our lives.

I wouldn't go as far as saying that I hate the Jesica Jones character.



I just hate her involvement in Luke Cage's life and would have preferred it if he was still with Claire Temple.

I'd love when we get the eventual new Luke Cage series to coincide with the new Netflix show we see these two villains show up

I'd love to see Mariah as some kind of rival to the Kingpin. Maybe the Queen of Crime for the Bronx and other outlying areas. With Nightshade, we don't see enough female evil scientists anymore.

Bendis portrayal of Luke and Jessica is what turns alot of people off I think. I like how Ewing handles the couple.
