    With a good writer.

Glad to see that no one is bringing up his past actions in Astonishing.

Has Bishop's full ethnic heritage ever been established?

I was aware of his intended Filipino heritage, but I always assumed he was mostly of African descent.

After his initial appearances, I honestly thought he was a descendant of Forge & Storm.

    I just ordered

    https://www.amazon.com/X-Men-Bishops...70_&dpSrc=srch

Any other collected stories that feature Bishop that someone can point me to? I didn't care for Claremont's Xtreme X-Men, in case that's on anyone's suggestion list.

    Get Bishop:The Last X-Man.

I don't know if it has been collected but it is a very good run.

    Also: District X

I remember the first, as I was a collector while it was being released (and Harris had written Slingers, which I adored), but I remember not being into it that much. It could have been my frame of mind at the time. Sadly, it doesn't seem to be collected.

The latter came out during a time I wasn't collecting, and I possibly had forgotten about it until you mentioned it.

Anything from the 90's you'd recommend?

Nope. I saw it advertised alongside the trade that I previously mentioned, but didn't immediately know how heavily Bishop is featured. I'm guessing a good deal?

Bishop was a key character in Age Of Apocalypse, which is also a good read in general. He had some memorable moments, like one in Onslaught, but there's not a lot that stands out. There's a trade paperback collecting the story where a group of X-Men have a Shi'Ar adventure, and Bishop is featured prominently in that story. It might be up your alley. It's part of the Trial Of Gambit tpb.

Yup! I read those issues as they were released, and they're nostalgic favorites of mine. Cannonball versus Gladiator, space Phalanx battle, Joseph+Rogue's kiss, Bishop and Deathbird, and of course Gambit's trial.

I never read Onslaught in full; it came out a year or two before I really started collecting, and I just never got around to checking it out.

Ah, nice. I forgot to mention that Bishop did have a couple of miniseries, well before his Ongoing, that may be of interest (I haven't reread them in years, so can't attest to their quality, but at the time I enjoyed them). If I remember correctly 2 were Bishop mini's, and there was a 3rd that was titled XSE.

Bishop is in dire need of a restoration. He should be the face of the mutant cause.

Gambit and Bishop Sons of the Atom. X.S.E. is another Bishop focused mini.
