Sam Wilson was Falcon for his practically all of his superhero career and is universally known under that alias. Steve Rogers is universally known as Captain America and casually saying the name "Captain America" in any context usually gets people thinking about Steve. This name would be the best of both worlds and people refusing to call him "Captain America" will find some middle ground.

The name "Captain Falcon" is already being used by the F-Zero racer/Super Smash Bros. fighter. I know we haven't had a new F-Zero game in awhile, but Smash Bros. continues to be released and continues to sell millions of copies.

I say he stop using the wings and just be Captain America. For some reason the wings don't seem to mesh well with the shield combat. But in all honesty I'd prefer is Bucky was still Captain America.

I have to disagree. He should be called Captain America like every other person who took up the mantle. He's not representing the falcon population of America.

I've been calling him Captain Falcon since it was announced. Just like with Buckycap. I never got that Falcap stuff.

Maybe there should be a specialized thread for arguing about what to call legacy heroes who take up another, established character's title.
Personally I have no problem using names like "FalCap," "Lady Thor," "Captain Carol" and so forth to distinguish the current title holder from the other characters who held the title. But in-universe, if someone takes over the Captain America job, he's Captain America.
