Post Back in 1939 and now?

    Hey everyone.

First off i just want to say that it is awesome being on this forum!! i have had a little read through and its getting addictive already and I've only been on here for an hour.... When i was a child my mother and farther used to buy me a comic book every month all different categories but Marvel was the most common, one of my favorites. I remember the hours i spent reading the comics and having a good time on my own. Unfortunately due to being young and not understanding the value of things all my comics are ripped or thrown away, not really usable anymore. So being as i'm here i would like to do a little research, what are the oldest Marvel comic books you can get these days that are still in good condition? I have seen 1980s and later but nothing from before this time but i haven't gone massively out of my way to find any. Now i am thinking of starting up a comic book collecting hobby that i should have started years ago really, better late then never. I want to be able to share the experience with my children in the future!!

I am looking forward to speaking with you guys about the marvel comics and what we can still get out hands on these days!!!

That was the first site on Ebay they also have 250 Marvel comic books for $249.99 But does that not seem a little expensive???

comic collecting is absolutely an expensive hobby. if you are thinking about building your own collection, know that right away.
if you're looking for the oldest, here's the oldest Marvel one i see on eBay (that's complete and readable): http://www.ebay.com/itm/Marvel-Myste...AAAOSw0fhXlSHZ

my advice is to find a few things you like (read online, visit your local library, etc.) and slowly branch out from there. that way you're only buying the things that you like and may want to re-read in the future.
