Interesting and meaningful as well, in terms of Gabby's development. If she wants to work on the same level as her older sister, she'll need a codename. Hope it's one that reflects her inherent lovability.

(In Messiah War, when Laura and her X-Force team engage in a time travel mission, they meet an older Deadpool in the future who claims that he met a clone of Laura called X-29 who he thought was funnier than Laura herself. While presumably Deadpool was just shooting his mouth off and there was no real "X-29, given that he befriended Gabby, who is a clone of her older sister and a funnier character in general, she would fit the bill of his alternate future self's description.)

Well, I would argue that she serves a different narrative purpose than either of those two characters.
