I have no problem with the "Omega level" term
I'm going to keep using it selectively because I still treat it like it does mean something, as it should.
I'd appreciate if Marvel at least made clear what it means.

When the term was first introduced it just meant unlimited potential, not necessarily meaning that a character reached that level or even ever will, just that they had the potential as there were no limitations on their power. As the years passed different writers just decided that it just meant 'really powerful' and threw the term around until it became meaningless.
Omega-level only works if the writers/editors actually cooperated on the term but as each writer kept pushing for their pet characters, every Tom, Dick and Harry became an Omega. It's similar to "mutant whose power/threat rivals the Phoenix" nonsense.
Omega should be an extremely rare term. I really disliked when everybody became omega something or potentially omega. Not to mention they get defeated so easily, it makes everything a joke.
They should be very few and with really godlike power. If it were for me the only omegas would be Legion, Franklin Richards, Jean Grey, Proteus and Cable (but he should never have his powers)
At the end of the day, power levels don't mean shit in comics. It all comes down to who can take a punch or not. I mean there's a comic out there with Captain America beatin the hell outta Onslaught all by himself.
Omega Level Mutants can lose fights Y’know. And being an Omega lvl Mutant doesn’t make you better than the rest(at least I don’t think so).
The Label “Omega Level Mutant” is exactly what it is....a label. It no longer holds weight as it used to when it was first introduced.
