I hope it's not Apocalypse again. I don't see them topping Uncanny X-force, so they should just give him a rest and do something different for a change.
I do like the team from the first cover. I don't think it will be the core after the first arc, but it's a great starting point.
It's awesome to have Bishop front and center and I REALLY want to read Jean and Bobby interact in a meaningful way after the way her teen self outed young Bobby.
Maybe Jubilee circa 1990, but modern Jubes is a very different critter.
Nothing wrong with comfortable, especially after how uncomfortable titles like Gold have made everyone. All in all, kinda safe & predictable, IMO. Not bad, but not groundbreaking, either. It's... comfortable.
I would love to see Vulcan as main villain, but doubt very much we will ever see him return.
Most likely: Magneto
Was, maybe. By the way they got her dressed, looks like she could be reverting to type. But it wasn't meant to be taken literally, only that Jubes is the youngest pictured (neXt to X-23), which is the same role Gabby fills on Red. Her & Honey Smacks have also demonstrated some similar traits, TBH, via past characterizations. Both being portrayed as a chatty Kathy, for instance.
Comfortable usually = conventional... familiar. And in some cases here, I would even say... well worn. As I said over in the other thread:
I'm happy with Iceman's inclusion, tho, as well as Bishop's, Cannonball's, & Jubes' too. Wouldn't know about Gold, avoided it for the same, which is its more commonplace cast. And wouldn't have touched it with a 10 ft. pole anyway, after the seemingly overwhelming response, of intense dissatisfaction.

Agreed! I actually enjoy seeing the X-Men act as teachers and mentors. The downside of telling stories about the school is that it always seem to turn into complete nonsense after a few issues..even with Wolverine & the X-Men (which I still enjoyed reading). Ditching the school isn't right, but they should maybe occasionally have an arc that takes the X-Men to the school or just have a few panels here and there where they are shown teaching at the school before they go off to do something more interesting

Haha, fun cover! Now we know why we saw Madrox and Bishop in the same pose.
Kelly Thompson: "[A] few of the younger crew have really big juicy roles in this story too. And I love that."
Nice!
