We present to you Age of Marvels: New Universe, a collection of all new fan-made issues on “sale” this month for MAY 2023!

What is “Age of Marvels” and how does it work?

Age of Marvels is a fan fiction universe and solicitation game that has been in existence on the CBR boards for well over a decade! It has gone through several iterations and has survived forum reboots! The way it works is that “plotters” write short solicitations for monthly comic books! Then participants “buy” the books they want to read! The books with the most buys get rewards. Sounds fun, right? So let’s do this! Which of this month's solicits interest and excite you? Let us know by posting which books you'd pick up in the virtual Age of Marvels Store (this solicitation thread). You can pull as many as you'd like, but also consider your "virtual budget" when making your selections, as sales are used to reward our titles and plotters. Registers are open all month and sales are tallied at the end of the month.

Absolutely anyone can make purchases right here in this thread - so please do!.
It’s free and is basically just saying “I’d read this” or “I like this!” So let us know! There has never been a more excelsior time to join the fun!

Captain America, Steven Rogers, sounded the call! Thor, Mighty King of Asgard, answered!
More royalty arrived as The Black Panther, King of Wakanda, personally joined the band! None other than Iron Man himself followed! The geniuses, Ant-Man and Prof. Hulk!
And more: Sorcerer Supreme, Doctor Strange! The screaming Songbird! America Chavez, paramedic of the multiverse!
Last but not least… when the Thing sees a bunch of Nazis in the skies, he *knows* it’s Clobberin’ Time!
These ten heroes are the SHINING AVENGERS! It’s the greatest assemblage of heroes you could ever want! But they’re not all!
Thanks to Captain America’s work in Zemo’s absence, the brainwashing of Washington D.C. has been broken. Every able-bodied citizen does what they can to help as the streets of America’s capitol descend into all-out war!
Zemo is furious — and with the stolen powers of the Sultan Magus, enters the fray personally!
Even the Shining Avengers can’t overcome that power. Zemo has them on the ropes.
But as he prepares to strike the killing blow to Captain America, his new powers falter and vanish!
Cap smiles: right on time.
While the Shining Avengers fought in the light of Day, the SHADOW AVENGERS took down Zemo from within!
The Shadow Avengers: Black Widow, the Wasp, Spider-Girl, Stinger. And not just bug heroes: Spellbinder, Iron Lad, Doc Sampson, Prince Wayfinder, Silhouette and the Winter Soldier!
Together, they sabotaged the stolen Sharzhadi technology.
Enraged, Zemo calls upon his ace in the hole, Agent Carnage, to finish off Cap – but Zemo didn’t know that Carnage was reprogrammed to be loyal only to Warbird. And Archangel convinced her to betray him! His call falls on deaf ears.
Zemo is apoplectic. Victory was within his grasp! Now, all is lost! Screaming and crying, he vows never to be a prisoner. The would-be master of the globe looks to emulate his idol Hitler one last time, as he puts a gun to his head and pulls the trigger.
But he should have paid more attention, as the gun he grabbed was one of the now-useless Sharzhadi weapons! Guess he’s not so much of a genius as he thought.
Songbird knocks him out with a sonic blast, and soon enough, the War is over!
Now, the day will forever be remembered as V-Z Day — Victory Over Zemo Day!

Nick Fury stands before a group of shocked agents, stunned to see him alive! Marcus Fury asks his father what's going on? There are multiple reports of his death and they saw his body so they demand to know what's happening? Fury tells them that a QUIET WAR has been secretly going on for years. The dead Fury, the man who they thought was leading them is Max Fury, a rogue LMD! Max, along with two others planned an elaborate takeover of the U.S. and the rest of the world by replacing people in key positions with LMDs!
Max Fury along with Susan Kelly was behind the death of her husband Robert Kelly, a prominent Senator planning to run for President. What everyone didn't know, not even Kelly's wife, was that Kelly himself was an LMD. When the Senator showed signs of his own growing ambitions, Max Fury set up a meeting with the Kellys' to get him back in line. After a heated argument, Max "killed" the Senator and threatened to do the same to his wife Sharon unless she agreed to work for Fury and take his place. She had no choice and soon won her husbands' seat becoming the Senator from Kansas.
As Sharon Kelly grew more powerful, she began to search for a way to eliminate Max, the only other person who knew the truth about her husband. This led Max to recruit a team agents who he would use in his personal war against Kelly. Long before Kelly's death, Nick Fury began looking into this mysterious group and reached out to the one person on the planet he knew he could trust: The Black Panther! Once they learned about Max, they agreed that Nick would try to infiltrate the group to learn who else was involved. They soon would involve Tony Stark and the three of them developed a plan to try and find out who Max was working with!
Before Nick could uncover the others working with Max, Kelly was killed throwing a huge spotlight on everything! This forced those working with Max into further hiding. With no way of finding the other, Nick followed Max and his Agents of Fury more closely, especially when Max recruited Nicks' son Marcus! Whenever, the agents where in trouble, Nick would reach out to T'Challa for help in getting them out of dangerous situations. After learning everything they could Nick, T'Challa and Tony agreed that it was time to play their hand and confront the LMDs that they knew about. Nick would make the first move by eliminating his clone Max on the condition that T'Challa would continue to protect the team that Max recruited.
Now, Nick tells them that he will turn himself over to HAMMER Director Clay Quartermain to see if and how far that agency is compromised. He also tells then that although he didn't put this team together, he couldn't be more proud of what they've accomplished! There are more challenges ahead and they should stay together and continue fighting to protect freedom around the world!

The Grey King T'Challa calls an emergency session of the Hellfire Club! In a secret chamber, Adrienne Frost, The White Queen and head of the Inner Circle calls them all to order and gives the floor to the Grey King. Not one for mincing words, T'Challa accuses The Red King Moses Magnum of plotting with the enemies of Wakanda, namely Markus Zulu and the nation of N'Gabo! The White King Gorgon asks T'Challa if he has proof of the allegations made against Magnum! Is there truth to any of his allegations or is the Wakandan King merely looking to create division within the Inner Circle. Whispers begin to fill the chamber, both for and against the charges brought by The Grey King.
T'Challa tells them that he is not interested in putting Magnum on trail nor does he wish for the Inner Circle to intervene in what is clearly a Wakandan matter. No, he has all the proof that he needs and will handle the situation not as The Grey King of the Inner Circle but as The Black Panther, King of Wakanda! And as a courtesy, he was merely informing them all that he will no longer count himself as a member of this group. He also leaves them with a final warning: Choose your next move wisely. Any who would interfere in the business of The Black Panther and Wakanda should consider if they are fully prepared to deal with the consequences!

Just when Mystique began to believe this really was just a sentimental trip, the first explosion happened.
•The trio attacked the financial district with their unique mutant abilities. The ARMAGEDDON MAN rocked petroleum and forestry company offices with localized earthquakes. HUMUS SAPIEN unmade unnatural things like polymers, concrete, and alloys, fueling his powers by draining the life forces of fleeing executives. BROTHER NATURE raised a forest amidst the crumbling ruins, and summoned animals from near and far to reclaim their territory.
•Amidst the carnage, Mystique laughed and kissed Destiny. What a spectacular way to celebrate their quasquicentennial!

“THE NEW NEIGHBORS”
The F² foundation settle down after the Dimension War. But it’s not all rosy for our heroes as Moon Girl, Paste Pot Pete, and Josephine all are leaving for the Amazon to raise and watch the newly relocated Devil Dinosaur. Ben has been spending some quiet time with Alicia Masters. Reed and Johnny are focused on Sue’s candidacy to be Vice President (see Agents of Fury) and are piecing together what they see in the news, what they get from messages from Sue and the private communications that everything is not what it seems.
Jennifer and Wyatt worry about Johnny and the lack of attention given to the foundation.
Gregory Gideon, college classmate of Reed and Ben’s as well as the man Sue beat to win her Senate seat has hired Rhona Burchill, formerly of the Fierce Foursome to head an AI division. Hank Pym notices.
On the opposite side of the sun, in Earth’s orbit is an Earth sized object which radio recievers on mars have picked up signals from. This is also where Graviton was left.(back in iss 6). Hank again notices and wonders if the team, or what’s left of them, will be able to handle these developments.

With the knowledge that his father is an LMD, Tony travels to New York to confront "Howard". He thinks to himself, "What do you say to someone who is an exact copy of your father, pretending to be your father?" All of these months, Tony truly wanted to believe that his father was alive, that he didn't die in the accident along with his mother. He gets a call from Rhodey, asking him if he's sure if he wants to confront Howard alone. Tony thanks his friend but tells him that he needs to do this, that it's a family matter and he'll be fine.
The Stark jet lands at LaGuardia airport and Tony drives himself to Howards' hotel. As he rides the elevator to the top floor, millions of questions flood his mind again. He clears his head and rings the bell. Howard opens the door and tells Tony to come on in. The first thing that Tony asks is who sent you and why. Howard tells Tony that none of that matters. Even though he went against him in court, he had no intentions of hurting Tony. He has been fully programmed with all of the memories of Howard Stark and if there's one thing that he knows it's that Howard truly loved both of his sons, Tony and Arno.
Tony sits, his sobriety being tested more than ever, wondering what should he do. Howard looks at Tony and tells him, I know what you're thinking. The next few days will hurt but he is a Stark, a futurist and he will survive. He tells him to look out for his brother and know that he is proud of the man that Tony has become. Suddenly Howard collapses to the floor, all of his biological functions having been stopped. The LMD has just shutdown, looking to spare his "son" from dealing with his painful "Howard" situation.

“GREEN SUPREMACY”
Thanks to the Maestro’s grand plan, last issue the so-called “dark” Avengers - Red Hulk (Hulk), Omega Red (Captain America), Deadly Nightshade (Black Widow), Steel Serpent (Winter Soldier), and Tarantula (Spider-Man) - were taken off the board, clearing the path for Zemo’s victory.
Or were they?
Zemo was led to believe that the Maestro offered his loyalty in order to preserve the timeline where Zemo wins and, eventually, the Maestro comes to power. But why rule a wasteland when you can rule a thriving civilization? Do you know how difficult it is to get good foie gras in a post-apocalypse? No, the Maestro is in the past, here and now, and at this moment in time he doesn’t need anything at all from Zemo to orchestrate his own rise to dominance. In fact, he just needs Zemo to not screw up the entire planet due to his zealous adherence to a deluded ideology.
From the inside, Maestro makes sure information on how to sabotage the Sharzhadi technology leaks to the real Black Widow’s Shadow Avengers. As for the imposters he captured, perhaps an “escape” can be arranged where they can make themselves useful in dislodging “the Kraken” Daniel Whitehall from his entrenched position as Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff?
And what should the Maestro drink while watching all this carnage unfold? (A) Midori Sour (B) Cucumber Martini (C) Southside Cocktail (D) Irish Margarita (spoiler: they’re all green!).

THE MIGHTY THOR #53 *World War Zemo tie-in*

“SUICIDE BY GOD”
With Sharzhadi weapons and armor rendered inert and smashed to pieces all around him, Thor feels confident that Midgard (or, at least, America) has mostly righted itself. He will not need to conquer the United States - not as long as Steve Rogers is it’s champion. Yet he returned from Hel for this, and his lust for vengeance must be satiated. Zemo kidnapped his sons, and Thor will have their location… or he will have Zemo’s head!
In Thor’s rage, a shackled and defeated Zemo sees an opportunity to avoid standing trial for his crimes. Perhaps where pulling the trigger of a Sharzhadi gun held to his own head failed, goading an angry god would succeed?
“Your misbegotten offspring are dead, Asgardian swine! The taint you left on their genes made them useless to me. I killed them myself!”
Can the other Avengers prevent a public execution and stop Thor from giving Zemo what he wants?
Meanwhile, Mockingbird and the very-much-alive twins of thunder (Magni and Modi Thorson) flee the wrath of a vengeful Emerald Witch: Amora, the Enchantress. Their explosive efforts to escape draw Asgardian attention… but not that of Thor. Instead, it’s mom to the rescue! All-Mother Queen Sif finally locates her children, and if she must, she’ll carve Amora in half to save them!
