We present to you DC Next Dawn, a collection of all new fan-made issues on “sale” this month, AUGUST 2021!

What is “DC Next Dawn” and how does it work?

Next Dawn, previously known as “New Dawn,” is a fan fiction universe and solicitation game that has been in existence on the CBR boards for approximately ten years! It has gone through several iterations and has survived forum reboots! The way it works is that “plotters” write short solicitations for monthly comic books! Then participants “buy” the books they want to read! The books with the most buys get rewards. Sounds fun, right? So let’s do this! Which of this month's solicits interest and excite you? Let us know by posting which books you'd pick up in the virtual Next Dawn Store (this solicitation thread). You can pull as many as you'd like, but also consider your "virtual budget" when making your selections, as sales are used to reward our titles and plotters. Registers are open all month and sales are tallied at the end of the month.

Absolutely anyone can make purchases right here in this thread - so please do!. It’s free and is basically just saying “I’d read this” or “I like this!” So let us know!

They are the Legion of Doom. And they have finally decided to unite, as one, to take down their respective enemies. Can any who oppose them survive?
The attack begins on the Throne-world within the Constellation Aquarius. Arthur Curry first came to this amazing planet in 1941 (see EARTH-2: ARTHUR CURRY OF ATLANTIS #1). The human body being 90% water, the aqua-tech of Atlantis largely preserved Curry’s vigor. Yet, eighty years is still eighty years… and time took it’s toll. He had just transitioned leadership to his daughter when disaster struck…
Atlantis’ old enemies, the shark-like Carcharodons, returned with new allies. The deceptive robotic vehicle-shapeshifting race, the Stel, join their assault. Worse still, sorcerers of the Cult of Qward bolster Atlantis’ enemies with strange magic while mythological god-like entities lead the charge.
Atlantis’ only hope is for Arthur to return home… return to Earth. And seek Justice!
But can he make the dangerous trek with all the evil in the universe pursuing him?

Agent Dakota Johnson arrives in the Silk District just in time to see Bat-Wing in a deadly battle the hired assassin Ravager! Over to her right she sees paramedics rushing Agent Kia Okura into an ambulance after she sustained life threatening injuries. Behind them the vigilante Dawn is in a battle with the local gang who came to buy HTWs(high-tech weapons) to wage war on the streets. On her left, her FBI partner Steve Trevor, along with the police, is helping civilians get off the streets and out of harm's way. She rushes in to help but right now, her thoughts are miles away. She has just uncovered a dark secret of one of these people, something they tried very hard to hide. She weighs her options carefully. Does she expose them, revealing their closely guarded secret? Or does she keep what she knows to herself, to see what other secrets maybe uncovered? Or perhaps someone. Suddenly something happens, something really bad. One of these people has just died. DEADLY HANDS OF CONNOR HAWKE #25

Once In A Lifetime
Connor is full of fear right now. He's very afraid but not for himself. He surrendered to Komodo and Kilroy and he knows that they are taking him back to face The Guild and Richard Dragon. But before they left, Komodo stabbed his friend Avila in the chest and left her for dead. He's afraid that Avila is dead because of him. And now that fear has given away to guilt and ultimately he feels resigned to his fate. Perhaps he deserves to die for what happened to Avila. If he never met her, she would still be alive. No matter what happens, he will accept his fate when he stands before Dragon.
Back at Avila's apartment, Naomi and Jax are just awakening from being drugged by Kilroy. They look over at Avila lying in a pool of blood but they are in no condition to help her. Suddenly the door opens and someone enters the room. They help Avila, covering her wounds to stop the bleeding. Once they are sure that she'll be okay, they call 911 to get her help. Then they walk to Naomi and Jax and help them to their feet. He tells them that if they want to save Connor then they need to come with him and do exactly what he tells them!

The Memer’s mission to Earth-0, to make Batman’s Boner go viral, was foiled by a very extended Bat Family. With the Golden Age Joker of Earth-2 returned to his proper time and dimension, Terry McGinnis brings the Joker’s apprehended heirs back to modern Earth-2 - and, suspecting a greater plan is afoot, he’s followed by Earth-0’s Bruce Wayne!
They return… to a Gotham under siege. Batman’s truly large boner was to fall for the distraction. With Batman on another Earth, the Legion of Doom was free to turn Gotham into its forward operating base. Now the Black Racer and Pinocchio rule the streets… as alien vessels arrive overhead and sorcerous magic fills the sky!
This is too much for even the Batmen of Two Worlds to handle alone. The call must be sent out. Justice Society… Socialize!
Can the Batmen reach the Batcave to make it happen? And how will Bruce react to seeing the elderly, centenarian fate of Bruce Wayne of Earth-2?

Bat-Wing and The Outsiders!
Matu Ba is a prominent businessman and the Prime Minister of The Congo. But before that, he was a ruthless warlord who used many child soldiers in his army. David and Isaac Zavimbe were two of the soldiers "recruited" by Ba long ago. They're all grown but going by different names. David is now The Jackal and Isaac is Massacre and they both are working for a new master, Father Lost! Lost has used the brothers to hunt down and execute anyone who used or profited from child soldiers and now Ba is the last. So when David and Isaac show up at Ba's home to kill him, Ba smiles and welcomes them. He tells them to remember that no one has been a better parent to them. He is their father and they are his children! Mere moments ago, he escaped the assassin's blade (see: Earth-2: The Longbow Hunters #3 - marvelous Marv!) and now fate has brought them together again.
At that moment, Bat-Wing and Dawn arrive to prevent David and Isaac from killing Ba only to discover that he has control over both of them now. Ba tells the brothers to dispose of the two intruders so they will become a family again and that he will protect them. Suddenly another group arrives at Ba's mansion: Connor Hawke, Avila and Black Orchid have come to make Ba pay for his crimes of attempted genocide! Bat-Wing tells Connor and his team to leave but Connor tells her that they are taking Ba! Ba laughs and tells them that they will have to come through his sons to get to him! “Law and Order” Part 4 “My God, My God, Why Have You Abandoned Me?”
In the basement of Baron Winters’ mansion on Earth 2, we see Lee Travis (as the Crimson) coming through a door to face Winters, Renee Montoya (as the Question), Jill Carlyle (as the Crimson Avenger), and the mysterious (but not for long) I Ching. I Ching turned out to be Wing How, partner of the Crimson during the forties when the Seven Soldiers fought. Wing was believed to have been killed in the final battle which scattered the Soldiers across time, space, and dimensions. Winters’ home is indeed a dimensional portal through which travel to other times and places can be achieved. Wing and Travis disappear through a door to search for the other Soldiers of Victory. The mirror that showed Lee Travis’ sight was given to Jill.
As for our heroines, they have to change, uniform up, and go through the trial of the gang that Renee arrested. Seems, even on Earth 2 crime doesn’t stop even for interdimensional hijinks.

Since time immemorial, the Black Racer has plagued Vandal Savage for his greatest sin: being cursed not to die. Now, solely to torment Savage, the deathly Racer has allied with the greatest of fiends to bring about… certain Doom.
Meanwhile, the Stel have lain dormant on Earth since World War II - after they erroneously allied themselves with the Axis Powers and were defeated by J.E.B., the Haunted Tank. They wouldn’t enter such a mistaken alliance again. Their new partners, the Legion of Doom, would be victorious- after all, they helped the Stel replace every GMC truck, SUV, and van with a disguised Stel warrior! Bad news: your new 2021 Sierra 1500 light-duty pick-up is going to try and kill you! Worse news: the terms of the lease still apply!
Fortunately, the elderly Bruce Wayne of Earth-2 kept track of the whereabouts of both Vandal Savage and the Haunted Tank… and now he has two younger Batmen to recruit them.
Terry McGinnis must reach the Haunted Tank, currently in a dormant state at the Gotham City Museum of Antiquities. Can Terry replace J.E.B.’s Energon battery to get him back in the fight? Or are the Stel already there?
Bruce of Earth-0 (the Next Dawn Universe) is tasked with locating Vandal Savage in the catacombs under Gotham Cathedral. Yet he’s not alone in the twisting labyrinth… as the wooden gangster Pinocchio and his crime family of mobsters have followed him down!

Connor Hawke is locked into a fight with Billy Badass to protect the life of Matu Ba, a man who Connor would likely kill himself! As Ba escapes and another team of Guild assassins arrive to attack Avila and Black Orchard, Billy asks why Connor would risk his own life to protect someone like Ba, a man who has murdered and ruined the life of hundreds if not thousands of people! Connor begins to wonder himself, is Billy right? Is John Diggle's way worth following? Then out of the corner of his eye, he sees Avila trying to protect a child as she's being attacked by a Guild member. He then begins to understand, that it isn't about going after evil but more about protecting the innocent. He understands now what Diggle was trying to teach him. With one swift move, he takes out Billy and protects the child as Avila and Black orchid take down the other assassins. With a renewed sense of purpose, he vows to continue the path of protecting innocent lives. But he still believes that Matu Ba should be held accountable and that he intends to bring him to justice!
In London Diggle Jax and Naomi have teamed up with The Batman to take down another group of Guild assassins who attempted to kill Bruce Wayne. With Wayne safe Diggle contacts Avila who tells him that she and Connor along with Black Orchid are going after Matu Ba to bring him to justice. She also tells him that Connor is okay and that he is committed to their mission. Diggle tells them to be careful and that when it's over, it will be time to finish things with The Magus once and for all. But before that, he will need to reach out for help from an old friend, Oliver Queen! Next Issue: Heir To The Bow!

Fortunately, he catches sight of a damn cosmic seahorse going full sub-light sped on the horizon! He reckons he better hitch a ride…
On Earth, Batman, Batman, the Haunted Tank, and Vandal Savage are attempting to regroup after the complete fall of Gotham to the Legion of Doom. Vandal knows one potential ally to call upon from antiquity. The great bear, Claw the Unconquered, hibernates under “Old Valcan,” an enormous Sycamore that’s a tourist attraction at the nearby Slaughter Swamp National Park. Problem is… the tree is on fire! Are they too late?

Along with Earth-2’s Green Lantern Jessica Cruz, more wizard than space cop, and Earth-2’s Flash, god-speedster, they land amidst the chaos caused by the Legion of Doom’s attack - only for Hal to be greeted, surprisingly, by his own reality’s Batman! And as always, Batman has a plan… this time, one forged in conjunction with his elderly alternate self!
Batman. Green Lantern. Batman. Green Lantern. The Flash. Martian Manhunter. Arthur Curry of Atlantis. The Haunted Tank. Vandal Savage. Claw the Unconquered. They are now the Justice Society. Yet, if they hope to prevail, they must recruit one more critical member… the ever-lazy, unemployable Parasite?!?
For some reason, Parasite is essential to the Batmans’ plans. But can our heroes find him? (Hint: he doesn’t leave his parents’ basement unless absolutely necessary).

SUPERMAN and POWERGIRL are now NIGHTWING and FLAMEBIRD. But their combined powers are still not enough to stop BRU-AL's forces. On Necro Krypton, Bru-Al summons the millions of Kryptonian Zombies, the armies of goblins and trolls, and some dragons. All hope seem lost in this dimension of darkness.
But at this moment, LEX LUTHOR of Earth-2 opens a portal into this dimension. Lex uses the Powerstone to absorb the powers of Bru-Al, taking control of all the Kryptonian Zombies for a moment. He makes his final sacrifice and pushes Superman and Powergirl back through the portal, while he stays behind. In his last ,moments, Lex self-destructs and destroys the gate from the other side.
Bru-Al's invasion to Earth-2 has finally been stopped, and at a great cost. But Superman believes Bru-Al is not done yet. And the only hope to stop Necro Krypton is New Krypton. (Check out House of S for more.) The Kryptonian Magic Guild decides to join them and travel back to Earth-0.
In the Grimlands, Bru-Al awakens his children from their thousands of years slumber.
Now it's time, House of Al is finally reborn.

The Seven Soldiers of Victory have assembled in New York City to prevent any trouble. Knowing that the USSR is planning on voting for the resolution, Ingrid Weiss and Dr. Poison find Geroi Budushchego member Comrade Olga “Fraulein Hitla” and force her to use her powers of persuasion to convince Stalin and the Soviet adventurer to aid in the nazi cause.
Meanwhile, Alexei Luthor has his own plans which have little to do with the USSR or the existence of a Jewish state.

Early 1948. Alexei Luthor’s nuclear warhead, aided by Roswell stolen technology, has itself been stolen. All eyes are on the nazi Kinder von hitler, but even some members of that group are against the detonation of a bomb of unknown power in order to prevent a Jewish state. It’s an all-out battle in which most of out combatants so far are on the side of not nuking. Despite the overwhelming majority, the few with the bomb remain unknown and could be anyone.
With all three teams in Palestine ready for battle, they face the addition of combatants from Arab and Jewish sides and no one can be sure whose side they are on anymore. It all ends here.

After winning a race against a crafty Vietnamese Turtle deity, the Flash was gifted a god-killing sword. He’d need it to rescue the soul of his mentor, Jay Garrick/Mercury, from the clutches of Ngi, the Gorilla God. Little did he know, Ngi was part of something much larger… the Legion of Doom!
That meant the Flash would need to be part of something bigger too! Allied with the ad hoc Justice Society, he races into the big fight! Shark aliens and evil truck robots and nasty wizards, oh my!
As the Batmen and Green Lanterns deal with the Legion’s troops, Martian Manhunter gunfights with Despero, and the Haunted Tank battles decepti-Nazi the Haunted Panzer, Flash gets the chance to take on Ngi himself… and prevails! But with the Gorilla down, why isn’t Jay’s soul free? Perhaps it’s because the grim reaper personified, the Black Racer, won’t allow it!
Can Flash outrun death itself?!? If he can’t, then his mentor… and his Earth… might be lost forever!

GREEN LANTERN #25 *Earth-2 Tie-In*
“WE LIVE IN A JUSTICE SOCIETY” part seven “FALL OF SOCIETY”
Earth-2. 2021.
The late wizard Hal Jordan would be proud. When reinforcements from the mystical Green Lantern Society arrive, including Guy Gardner and John Stewart, the tides finally turn and the newly assembled Justice Society prevails!
The Carcharodons, with their King Shark in custody, surrender. The Stel are driven from their hiding place at General Motors and forced to retreat. The malevolent gods Ngi and Madfet have been imprisoned in Tartarus. The Memer, Desperado Despero, and Pinocchio, along with all of his mafiosos, are ready to be put behind bars. The Cult of Qward has scattered. And the Black Racer has vanished, having been denied the mass death it craved.
But none of that matters to Xìng Sinestro. His Legion of Doom allies were just a means to an end… the end of all things. The chaos they wrought bought Sinestro time to complete the complicated ancient rites - time to finally release the world-cleansing demon created by the fabled Empire of Tears! The inevitable DOOMSDAY is upon Earth-2!
Can even the triumphant Justice Society stop Doomsday now? Is this why they needed to recruit the Parasite, and can they really rely on that slacker? Or will Hal Jordan and Bruce Wayne of Earth-0 never escape the crisis of another Earth?

“Undercover, American Style”
Dan Turpin, Lt, Metropolis PD is showing the ropes of American police work to our Thanagarian visitors Shayera and Katar. For two weeks, they are uniformed Metropolis police officers going through the basics from academy training, to traffic details, to talking with kids in elementary schools. The two discover that very few situations in Metropolis consist of helping Superman catch an arch-criminal.
Captain Byth stops to speak with representatives of the Collective Assistance for Worlds (CAW). This in itself is highly irregular, as CAW practices active participation and changes to worlds’ behaviors and the Thanagarian plan to is learn from other worlds.
Plus, Chay-Ara needs to go to school. Watch as the Hawks try and decide what nation to enroll their daughter in and what kind of school is chosen.

In Africa, JIMMY OLSEN turns into the Turtle Man to stop the Titan Bizarro bio-armor. While LOIS LANE jumps into a Kryptonian mecha-suit to deactivate the Bizarro Bomb. At the same time, the original Bizarro at Olsencorp makes a speech to the world.
"Bizarro do not have a dream that one day Bizarros will look after each other."
"Bizarro do not have a dream that one day Bizarros will rise up."
"Bizarros do not have a dream that one day Bizarros will live happily on the Moon"
"Olsencorp will not offer any health care and insurance policy."
"Bizarro do not have a dream today."
And with that, from around the world, thousands of Bizarro Workers flies up to the Moon.

Ben burns the paper and dials a number. He tells the voice on the other line that he won't take the script(contract) and that he doesn't do scrub work(kill jobs) anymore. Don't contact him again. He then dials another number. On the other end is David Cain, his friend and longtime mentor. He tells him to put out the word: "The Bronze Tiger is sleeping. Do not disturb." Cain asks if he's sure and if he understands the ramifications of what he is doing. Ben says a few expletives and tells him to send the message.
In Greenwich in the city of London, someone is looking at the information on the paper in front of them. Barely recovered from last issue’s huge conflict at the Aquarius Corporation, Vic is operating on no sleep and has to pull double duty appearing as Vic on TV explaining the situation as well as investigating at the Question. He also needs to deal with Myra Fermin who is operating on her own trying to find answers. Old flame Vicki Vale also is on the story hunting whatever information she can.
Can Vic’s buddy Tot come up with something that can keep our hero going, alert and remembering to take off his mask before he eats or drinks anything? That’s a good question!
And one more question but one with an answer this issue: Who is the mysterious Wesley Fermin that was shot and will he pull through?

As Arthur fights to wrest the Sword of Cetus from her hand, the Celestial Wonder Woman faces TRITON, the scion of the seas, as he attempts to foul the sacred waters of Olympus.
On the ground, the armies of the Others are strong, but the Betrayers control the landscape. So Much is made of Poseidon’s dominion over the oceans... but many forget that the tectonic plates themselves are under his power. KAHINA, however, did her homework. Receiving telepathic word from her, Arthur summons a vicious EARTHQUAKE to rock the battlefield, leaving the unprepared Betrayers stunned!
Arthur’s effort turns the tide in the battle, but leaves him open to the attacks of Enyo! Diana, sensing the danger, travels by starlight to quickly intervene.
That doesn’t mean Triton is left unaccounted for, though. In the aftermath of the quake, MERA and the Others arrive to hold off the mer-menace. They might not quite be demigods, but they’re something better – heroes.
Using her Lasso of Truth, Diana tears the Sword from Enyo’s grasp — and into Arthur’s. With a swift motion, Aquagod cleaves Enyo in twain, and the Saffron Lanterns suddenly find themselves without her power.
Triton, either wise enough to admit defeat or simply craven enough to beg mercy, surrenders when Wonder Woman and Aquagod return to reinforce the Others.
Just like that, the battle is won.
EPILOGUE
The war has ended! Amazonia and Atlantis are at peace. A air of hope lingers over the peoples of these two proud nations.
Ever since Osira escaped, Bana-Mighdall has been without a charge. Triton of the sea soon finds himself imprisoned in a desert cell.
As promised, Diana returns the Seal of Clarity to the surviving Graeae, hoping against hope they have no interest in picking up their sister’s mantle.
As for the Sword of Cetus... well, every god needs a weapon. Arthur Curry more than most. For in the aftermath of the battle, a murder most foul is discovered. Poseidon is dead, slain whilst powerless, and his now-missing Trident seems to be the murder weapon. Queen Clea has vanished – unlikely to be a coincidence
The grim news doesn’t stop Atlantis and Amazonia from celebrating in style. Rumors begin to spread fast about Orm and Ocina. Could Atlantis be in for their own royal wedding?
On the shores of Themyscira, Diana, Arthur and the present Others bid farewell to the spectres of the past Others, heroes so true that not even death could stop them from protecting those who needed it. What final words do they have for their contemporary counterparts?
