We present to you DC Next Dawn, a collection of all new fan-made issues on “sale” this month, JULY 2023!

What is “DC Next Dawn” and how does it work?

Next Dawn, previously known as “New Dawn,” is a fan fiction universe and solicitation game that has been in existence on the CBR boards for approximately ten years! It has gone through several iterations and has survived forum reboots! The way it works is that “plotters” write short solicitations for monthly comic books! Then participants “buy” the books they want to read! The books with the most buys get rewards. Sounds fun, right? So let’s do this! Which of this month's solicits interest and excite you? Let us know by posting which books you'd pick up in the virtual Next Dawn Store (this solicitation thread). You can pull as many as you'd like, but also consider your "virtual budget" when making your selections, as sales are used to reward our titles and plotters. Registers are open all month and sales are tallied at the end of the month.

Absolutely anyone can make purchases right here in this thread - so please do!. It’s free and is basically just saying “I’d read this” or “I like this!” So let us know!

Using heat vision, Superman is able to burst the water pipe in the ground.
The water turns the Sandman into Mudman!
Superman is able to break free of the Sandman Superman and save Lois and Bizarro!
Meanwhile, Metallo and the Kryptonite Man are still fighting.
And Lex Luthor retrieves the Sandman from the scene.
The Sandman Superman was created when the K-bomb was detonated in the desert!
The Kryptonite radiation mutated the sand in the desert, changing it into a Sandman Superman.
Now, at the Fortress of Solitude, Superman can feel his powers cut in half,
as if half of his power still remain with the Sandman Superman?
Superman has sent Bizarro into the Phantom Zone!
Time is frozen in the Phantom Zone, this will stop the Kryptonite poisoning!
This is the same way that Superman saved the Super Dinosaur from Kryptonite poisoning!
Meanwhile, Lois Lane tracks down the Kryptonite Man to a house outside Metropolis.
And Lois will be surprised when she realizes that it is actually Jimmy Olsen!?

Damocles’ vision is of a world dominated by Gen-Active metahumans. Any Atlantean who survived and adapted to underwater life following the Great Cataclysm was metahuman, and therefore all their current descendants carry that genetic heritage. In many ways Atlantis is akin to a third island, ancient predecessor to Kuano and Akonu. But Damocles knows the weak heart of Atlantis’ current king, Arthur Curry - who, even now, summons a Lord of Order to fight the Omega Titans rather than join them in their holy crusade. Indeed, Curry rejected a similar offer of metahuman unity from Vandal Savage, so he’d certainly reject Damocles’ more radical approach to evolution. Atlantis’ former king, however, Orm the Ocean Master… perhaps he will be more receptive. Damocles already controls four Swords, why not a Trident as well?

NEMESIS
Jarmun: Bat-Wing and Deathblow team-up to find out who killed businessman and spy Ken Yao! Who was Yao working for and what did he know that got him killed? Back in The Congo, David's partner Dakota and agent Khan of the People's Republic of China may have found a connection between Yao and a covert gov't op in the states. There is much concern in the U.S. about China's growing influence in Africa so it's possible was Yao a spy for the Americans. Dakota thinks that Yao could have been looking into a Chinese partnership with an African company called Han-Barc named after the African warrior Hannibal Barca. Further digging reveals that Han-Barc has connections to Burendia, the rogue nation led by The Red Lion!
Dakota calls David in fills him in on what she and Khan have found out. She tells him that there is a Han-Barc facility not far from Jarmuns' capital. David tells Cray that he has a lead on a site that Yao may have been looking into. Once there, they break into what looks like an abandoned facility. However they discover a hidden lower level, where scientists are working what appears to bodies in stasis tubes. Could this be some sort of bio-lab and what are they working on? Unfortunate, Bat-Wing and Deathblow may never get answers to these questions as the sound of a gun clicks behind them. Then, a whispery voice says, "Hello Cray, remember your old partner Nemesis?" Next Issue: Bat-Wing! Deathblow! Nemesis! Exactly whose book is this anyway?

IRRECONCILABLE DIFFERENCES
Palace Ballroom, Uzikistan: With the help of The Red Lion and President Illyana Khisnovs' private security, Ben was able to stop the attempt on the Presidents life by a group of assassins from The Guild. Thankfully no guests were hurt and all assassins were killed but tensions are still high, especially now that Ben's ex-wife Flo' Crowley is the head of President Khisnov's security team! The last time he saw Flo' Ben vowed to kill her on the spot and is about to fulfill that promise when Matthew Bland, The Red Lion steps in. He tells Ben that as much as he would love to see the outcome of this confrontation, Ben should reconsider killing a member of Khisnovs' inner circle in front of so many witnesses. It just wouldn't be a good look for him right now.
As much as he dislikes Bland, Ben knows that he's right. He'll just have to wait for a better time. Khisnov thanks everyone for their help in saving lives as she has the guests escorted safely from the ballroom. Flo' walks up to Ben to thank him and asks would he like to join her later for a nightcap. She smiles and says that she heard that he's a widower now, maybe he can come by her place tonight and work a few things out under the sheets. Ben, just gives her a look and says, "Things will be settled between us soon".
Later as he meets with President Khisnov, she thanks him again for saving her life and wonders if he would meet with her in her private chambers to discuss a position in her gov't. Ben tells her that she doesn't need to pretend anymore. He knows that she staged the whole assassination attempt. She hired the assassins to stage an attempt on her life so that her people would rally around her. It's amazing that there were dozens of killers, no guests were hurt and that all of the assassins were killed. Can't have any of them left alive to expose the lie. Illyana denies, his accusation saying that she would never put her people at risk. As they enter her room, he tells her not to worry, he won't reveal her secret. He understands that there are times when difficult choices must be made. He's made many in his past and will make many more in the future.

How will he ever stop Billy if he can't even build his own organization? Dragon tells Connor that he should put more faith in himself than in some organization. He doesn't need thousands of devoted followers to take down The Guild. His belief in himself, Avila's belief in him is more than enough to accomplish what he needs to do. Trying to reverse the effects of Green Kryptonite poisoning, Superman looks into Red Kryptonite.
To create an antidote to Kryptonite, Superman injects himself with Red Kryptonite sample.
And Superman receives a sudden power boost, and he becomes twice as strong, twice as fast.
By Rao! He is also immune to Kryptonite now!
Using this random mutation, Superman develops the Kryptonite antidote.
But what Superman doesn't realize, is that he may have also created his most powerful enemy to date!
As the mutation continues, Superman realizes that there is another him inside of him.
The other Superman finally break out of Superman.
Negative Superman Unchained!
Every aspects negative to Superman, this Superman is actually able to absorb Kryptonite energy!
Superman is unable to stop Negative Superman, because they are matched in every way.
But they are also unable to touch each other due to their powers being equally matched.
Can Superman find a way to stop the rampage of Negative Superman?

His lady love, on the other hand?
Cloning somebody as powerful as Penelope Pink is a challenge, but he’s up to the task!
