We present to you DC Next Dawn, a collection of all new fan-made issues on “sale” this month, DECEMBER 2023/JANUARY 2024!

What is “DC Next Dawn” and how does it work?

Next Dawn, previously known as “New Dawn,” is a fan fiction universe and solicitation game that has been in existence on the CBR boards for approximately ten years! It has gone through several iterations and has survived forum reboots! The way it works is that “plotters” write short solicitations for monthly comic books! Then participants “buy” the books they want to read! The books with the most buys get rewards. Sounds fun, right? So let’s do this! Which of this month's solicits interest and excite you? Let us know by posting which books you'd pick up in the virtual Next Dawn Store (this solicitation thread). You can pull as many as you'd like, but also consider your "virtual budget" when making your selections, as sales are used to reward our titles and plotters. Registers are open all month and sales are tallied at the end of the month.

Absolutely anyone can make purchases right here in this thread - so please do!. It’s free and is basically just saying “I’d read this” or “I like this!” So let us know!

Crablad triumphant! When the returning Arion was attacked by his fellow Lord of Order, Kismet, the anthropomorphic crustacean escaped their Orderly Realm and reached Aquaman - who, in turn, came back with Mera and the sorcerers of Atlantis to rescue Arion! But even with all that magical might at their disposal, they only just managed to escape…
There is no denying it now: a full-blown civil war has erupted between the Lords of Order where Kismet has the distinct advantage of having consolidated power during Arion’s long absence! Aquaman understands that Arion’s only hope is to sway the other Lords of Order, who thus far haven’t gotten involved, to his side. He knows where the avatar of one of them can be found - but can Aquaman convince Dr. Fate to fight on his side? Or has Kismet already gotten to him…
Meanwhile, Kismet begins to systematically dismantle her opposition. She starts at the top: the Table of Elements. This “environmental illuminati” summoned Arion back to Earth in the first place, and now they must pay the price. Having set up a group meeting as a trap, Kisnet destroys the Seat of Air - and Red Tornado with it! Can the Seats of Earth and Fire - Brion “Geo-Force” Markov and Mick “Heatwave” Rory- survive the surprise attack?

A strange and surprisingly easy thought enters his mind, "Maybe the only way to stop Lena is to kill her!"
Singapore:Kia and Rick are in the fight of their lives against Kimodo and Kilroy as they try to rescue a group of missing children, including Kia's niece, from the crime lord Father Lost! The are only yards away from a waiting plane when they realize they won't make it. Flagg tells Kia to keep going with the kids, the suddenly runs towards their pursuers, buying them time to escape! The plane takes off with Kia and the children safely aboard as she looks out the window to see Flagg being swarmed by a small army. She got away safely with the kids but Kia can't help but think about how she lust lost another partner!

Ben and David quickly find themselves surrounded by the private army hired by Moon and Eve! David grabs his niece and begins to run while Ben fights the guards! They can't return the niece home and put David's sister in jeopardy! Moon and Eve give the order to hunt down the infidels and kill them all, including the girl!

Wally West of Earth. You have the ability to overcome great fear. Welcome to the Green Lantern Corps.
Can the combination of the Speed Force and a Green Lantern Ring elevate Wally to a point where he can defeat the New God of Speed and Death? Hal Jordan has hope. He takes Wally back to Oa, the Green Lantern Corps’ HQ planet, for a rapid training session. Can the Guardian of the Universe, Ganthet, unlock Wally’s ultimate potential?
Meanwhile, the Deicide Squad starts working on a backup plan. Scandal Savage reveals that the reason her formerly immortal father, Vandal Savage, spent 50,000 years putting “humanity first” was to empower the species enough to defeat an alien god like the Black Racer. Vandal had weapons to kill both gods and speedsters which could be salvaged from his still-secret (but highly booby-trapped) base in the Ozarks. Combining ultra-rare Suspendium (nicknamed “Speedster Kryptonite”) and Radion (a substance fatally poisonous to New Gods) could result in a workable weapon. But if they used that weapon, it would also kill the Black Racer’s host. Are they willing to sacrifice Barry Allen?

Standing before John is a member of the Endless, an inconceivably powerful being, who has taken the form of a pale-skinned goth girl. “Death” was there when the first living thing came into existence, and will be there when the last living thing dies. And in her infinite fairness, everyone gets the same thing: everyone gets a lifetime. But there was profound unfairness surrounding this particular Corpsman’s fate - and that calls for some special attention.
Long ago, something was taken from Death. Something indescribable. Part of her power. The Lord of Apokalips stole it and infused it into this “Black Racer.” It’s been bothering her for a while (read: millennia), though she’s been very busy and hasn’t had the opportunity to address it. But now things have changed. This Black Racer has regained his speed and has started interfering with the grand design. So, there’s no more screwing around or letting it slide. It’s time to shut him down.
John Stewart wants to know how he can help.
“Why, with a ring of course! That’s your thing, isn’t it?”
Death hands John a Lantern Battery and a ring, both glowing and infused with some of her own power. She smiles.

The mayor of New York City visits Tarzan at his African bungalow, but the Lord of the Jungle is uninterested in an almost certainly corrupt politician from so far away… until he’s shown evidence of a unique threat: the body of a Horib!
The year prior, Tarzan joined an expedition to Pellucidar, an unknown realm inside the Hollow Earth (see Tarzan at the Earth's Core (1929)). There, he was nearly slain by Horibs - cold-blooded, lizard-like humanoids that feast upon human flesh.
Today, they’ve discovered Horibs living under Manhattan - the apparent truth behind the “alligators in the sewers” rumor. The Mayor has been covering this up, as thus far they’ve only fed on downtrodden immigrants, but he needs someone to track the extent of this “infestation.” Only Tarzan has the skills and experience to lead such an investigation…
Taken from his element to a concrete jungle, it becomes clear to Tarzan that the Mayor is beholden to organized crime when the “investigation” is supported by mob enforcers! Tarzan and a crew led by Vinny “the Ape” Lomonte descend into the depths below Manhattan where they find far more than they bargained for!
Enter the lost city of “Lucertola,” where thousands of Horibs rule and keep a population of destitute Italian immigrants as cattle! Can Tarzan and Lomonte rescue the human captives, including the group’s unofficial “Princess” Lolita Benato, and escape?
